He teaches at the University of Vienna.About the authors:Stephan Fussel is director of the Institute of the History of the Book at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, and holder of the Gutenberg Chair at the same university. He has published prolifically on the early days of printing, the sale and publication of books between the 18th and 20th centuries and the future of communications.Christian Gastgeber studied classics and Byzantine studies at the University of Vienna. After receiving his doctorate in 2002, he joined the staff of the Byzantine Section of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna, specialising in Greek palaeography and diplomatics.
